Of the Caribbean Islands, Dominica is one that boasts of the most colorful and always fresh, fruits and vegetables. These are locally produced (most organic grown) and include, watermelon, pineapple, mango, banana, sorrel, guava, passion fruit, and grapefruit, to name a few. The collection of treats include Creole fish and chicken as well as local favorite delicacies such as crabs, crayfish, and agouti. We don't want to forget the local "broth" made with fish or smoked meat (smoked meat gives the broth a special flavor).
