Tannia Fritters



INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 lb Tannia
  • 2 sprigs Celery
  • 1 medium Onion
  • Oil for frying
  • 2 tbsp Flour
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Lime juice
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 tbsp Milk

DIRECTIONS:


Wash, peel and grate tannia. Put into a bowl.

Chop or mince onion and celery finely; add to tannia.

Add salt, lime juice, flour and mix with a fork.

Heat oil in frying pan.

Beat egg stiffly, and add to tannia mixture with milk.

Fry by spoonful in hot oil, turning over to brown both sides.

Place fried fritters on absorbent paper. Serve hot with meal.
